In this recipe I won`t lie it is very simple yet time consuming. We all love dried tomatoes, because of their concentrated and sour taste. The below instructions will show you how to make them at home.
Ingredients :
– 500 tomatoes
– 10 gloves of garlic
– olive oil
– dried oregano
– salt
Preparation:
Cut the tomatoes as showed and place them in a baking tray. Cut the garlic cloves to thin slices and carefully place a few slices on each tomato. Spring salt, dried oregano and olive oil all over the tomatoes and bake. It is not correct to call the process baking but it is pretty much drying the tomatoes. Turn on the oven on 50 degrees Celsius and let the tomatoes dry for at least 20 hours. Time depends on the tomatoes how big and juicy they are. The one I used took 24 hours to get ready. Store the dried tomatoes in a jar filled in with olive oil. I am not sure how long you can preserve it, but you can store them in the fridge. From my experience they can be kept for several days.

I shall try this recipe as I have always wanted to make dried tomatoes myself instead of buying it from the supermarket. Thanks.
