Moist pumpkin cake with orange zest

This recipe was expired by another blogger: Kitchen Cici. I decided to try it with a little modification from my side. The result was one really delicious and moist pumpkin cake with elegant touch of orange aroma. The recipe is very easy to follow. I hope you will try it and enjoy it!


– 1 can pumpkin puree

– 2 eggs

– 1 1/2 cup white flour

– 1 cup white sugar

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1 tbsp baking powder

– a pinch of salt

– 1/2 cup canola oil

– zest of one orange

– the juice of one orange


Preheat the oven to gas 6. Mix all of the ingredients until you have a smooth mixture. Place it in a baking tray and cook for 40 minutes. Enjoy!

  2. Yum, this sounds and loos fantastic! I always wanted to make a cake with pumpkin (= Superfood), but never came across a nice recipe, most involve a lot of spices which I am not so fan of, so I really love this idea of oranges.     1. Hi! The cake was absolute hit at home. It was even better on the next day, when it became even more moist. I kept it in the fridge and i really like it cooler! Good luck and let me know is you try it 🙂
