Weekend in our house means cooking. I love to spend my free time by preparing a good breakfast or a tasty lunch. I enjoy baking as well. I have planned to make a puff pastry myself, but I am still in process to find the right products, and by products I refer to butter. It might sound silly but here in Dubai they don`t have good quality of dairy products. However my recipe today is with puff pastry, but from the supermarket. This is a very simple recipe, but perfect for the lazy afternoons. I hope you will enjoy it.
Ingredients:
– small package of puff pastry (I used square shape)
– 100 g raisins
– 1 tbsp white sugar
– 1 tbsp brown sugar
– 60 ml archers peach schnapps
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 2 tbsp honey
Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients (beside the pastry) and let the raisins soak the schnapps. Cut the pastry sheets in two even parts. Use a small spoon and add small quantity of the mixture on one of the pastry sheet. Cover with the other pastry sheet and “close” it with a fork by pressing the edges. Finish all the pastry and place into a baking tray. Preheat the oven into 180 degrees and bake until golden. Once ready, took the pastry out and apply the honey with a brush.
Reblogged this on Chef Ceaser.
