Lamb meatballs with pine nuts and cinnamon

This dish is simply bursting with flavors. It`s very Mediterranean, yet has this Arabic note from the cinnamon. it might be my new favorite summer dinner.

INGREDIENTS (serve 2 adults and one hungry toddler)

  • 450 g lamb mince
  • 1/2 white onion
  • handful fresh mint
  • handful fresh parsley
  • 3 tbsp pine nuts
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • salt and pepper to taste

For serving:

  • mixed green salad
  • handful of dill, parsley and coriander
  • radishes
  • olives
  • feta cheese
  • hummus
  • lemon slices

PREPARATION

  1. Chop the onion, nuts and herbs into small bits, or even use chopper if you have.
  2. Mix with the mince and season. Fry in a skillet for few minutes or until you get nice brown sear.
  3. Serve the ready meatballs with fresh greens, squeeze of lemon, hummus, olive, feta and radishes.
