The turmeric milk also known as golden milk is getting very famous these days. It is well known for its benefits such as antioxidants, reducing inflammation, improving memory and brain function. The list is almost endless. Bottom line is this vegan hearty drink can boost your immune system and it`s super easy to make. Also is not gross!!!
INGREDIENTS: (makes 2 drinks)
- 2 cups almond milk (or any other vegan milk you like)
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 4 black peppercorns
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 star anise
- 3 whole cloves
- honey to taste (or agave)
- saffron to serve
- Mix everything and gently simmer for few minutes. try not to bring to a boil.
- Add honey or agave to sweeten to taste
- Strain the drink and serve with saffron on top
